Party conference season

In the United Kingdom the party conference season refers to the period of three weeks in September and October of each year which contains the annual political party conferences. They typically take place in seaside resorts, such as Blackpool, Brighton and Bournemouth, although in a break with tradition the 2006 Labour Party Conference was held in Manchester.

The Trades Union Congress conference also takes place around this time.
The conferences take place before the end of the summer recess.
In 2007 these will be as follows
- Labour- last week of September, in Bournemouth
- Conservatives - first week of October, in Blackpool
- Liberal Democrats - third week of September, in Brighton
- Scottish National Party - fourth weekend of October, in Aviemore
- Plaid Cymru - second week of September, in Llandudno
- Trades Union Congress - second week of September, in Brighton
