Partnership 2000

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Partnership 2000, or P2000, is a program that partners cities in Israel with cities in the Diaspora in an effort to strengthen ties between Jews in Israel and those overseas. The program was begun in 1994 by the United Jewish Appeal and now has links between at least 500 cities or regions overseas and more than forty cities or regions in Israel. Notably, the Association of Jewish Sixthformers (AJ6) in England have built a strong 'gesher chai' or 'living bridge' with the Shlomi region of Israel.
