  • In all of the above cases with the exception of "Independent Women", the "Part II" versions were more successful than the originals.[citation needed]
  • The only "Part I" songs that were released as singles and music videos were "No, No, No" (Part I), "Independent Women" (Part I) and "I Need A Girl" (Part I), "Love In This Club" (Part I).
  • "Independent Women" (Part II) was never officially released or promoted as a single and no music video for that version exists. The song only eventually appeared on Destiny's Child's remix album, more than a year after "Independent Women" (Part I) had had its success. The "Part I" version is the one that was played on the radio, that was used in the "Independent Women" music video, and was featured in the movie Charlie's Angels and on its soundtrack.

In 2002, underground Canadian rapper, k-os, spoofed the mainstream rap craze of making "Part I" and "Part II" (and in some cases "Part III") remixes of songs by entitling his single, "Superstarr Pt Zero".
