Parsi-Dari

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Parsi-Dari is a language of the Central Iran sub-group[1] of the northwestern limb of the western branch of the Iranian languages. It is spoken in some Zoroastrian communities and areas by some 350,000 people. It is distinct from Dari (Zoroastrian) that is spoken in other Zoroastrian communities in Iran. Its ISO three letter language code is prd.[2]

Even though the language name uses two of the many words that are traditionally used for Persian languages, it is a distinct language.
