Paro Airport (IATA: PBH, ICAO: VQPR) is the only airport in Bhutan, six kilometres (three miles) away from Paro. It is located in a steep valley on the bank of a river.
The airport has one runway and is served by a single airline, the national carrier Druk Air which has its hub there.
There is one passenger terminal, one cargo terminal and 2 aircraft stands. There are also 4 check-in desks and one gate.
In 2002, the passenger throughput amounted to 37,151 persons and the handled cargo was 90,983 tonnes.
