The Phoebus Apollo (Parnassius phoebus) is a butterfly species of the family of Swallowtail butterflies (Papilionidae) found in Eurasia and North America.
P. phoebus is found in the Alps, Urals, Siberia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, China, Alaska andCanada.Larvae feed on Saxifraga sp., Sedum sp. and Sempervivum montanum.
