[edit] History
The street is named for the third Parliament Buildings of Upper Canada, built in 1832 on Front Street (then Palace Street).
[edit] Streetcar
Parliament Street was once served by the Toronto Transit Commission's Parliament street car from 1910 (by Toronto Railway Company), but service ended in 1966. Streetcar tracks and overhead wires remain as the TTC's Route 508 - Lakeshore route still travels along Parliament from Carlton Street to King Street.
