Parle Tilak Vidyalaya (also known as PTV) is an educational institution in Vile Parle, Mumbai. It consists of four schools - the PTV English Medium School, the PTV Marathi Medium Secondary School, the PTV Marathi Medium Primary School and Paranjape Vidyalaya. The Marathi Medium School (then unified), was founded in 1921, as a tribute to Late Shri Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak. The English Medium School was founded in 1982.
The Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Association, also constitutes a number of junior colleges mainly in Vile Parle, but also in Andheri and Mulund. The present headmistress of the school is Mrs. Sharda Limaye (English Medium) and Mrs. G. Karande (Marathi Medium)
The Schools (Both the English and Marathi medium) have been particularly famous for producing numerous merit list rankers in the State Secondary Board examinations year after year. However, many senior teachers in PTV Marathi medium retired in the 1990s and this has reduced the number of merit rankers sigificantly.
