The Parkes Shire Council is a local government area in the Central West region of New South Wales, Australia. It is on the Broken Hill railway line and the Newell Highway.

It administers the town of Parkes and the surrounding region of 5919 square kilometres, with a population of approximately 15,300 (as of 2004), including the towns of Peak Hill, Alectown, Bogan Gate, Trundle and Tullamore.
