Parker Hale M85

The Parker Hale M85 is a .308 sniper rifle. With an effective range around 900 meters. It fires from a 10-round detachable magazine, and weighs 12 pounds, telescope included. The rifle was created after the Falkland war because of the shortcomings in the then used Enfield Enforcer L42A1.

Parker Hale Ltd. was a United Kingdom firearms, air rifle and firearms accessory manufacturer, located in Petersfield, Hampshire. It was purchased by John Rothery Wholesale Ltd in late 2000 and ceased firearm production, although cleaning kits and accessories will continue to be produced. The company had over 115 years of history and produced pistols, rifles and accessories of varying sorts.
The Parker Hale M85 manufacturing license was sold to Gibbs Rifle Co. who has not yet resumed production.
