Paratus World Wide Protection

Paratus Worldwide Protection is a private security firm whose headquarters is located in Charlotte, New Jersey. According to Paratus' website, "Paratus Worldwide Protection is a privately owned firm that was formed to support business and military operations in elevated threat environments"[1]. The company was formed in 2005, and its main center of operation is Iraq. Though based in the United States, Paratus protects international forces as well as other security forms as part of their description.

Paratus is a part of the Private Security Company Association of Iraq, a company that "is a non-profit organization formed and maintained to discuss and address matters of mutual interest and concern to the industry conducting operations in Iraq".[2]

At the moment,[when?] Paratus conducts all of its business in Iraq. Its services include convoy protection, personal security details, security surveys and assessments, as well as business risk analysis and intelligence.[1] Paratus uses a five-step approach:

  3. Project-Specific Planning and Training
  4. Deployment of Resources
  5. Follow-Up and Evaluation

In a recent[when?] press release, Paratus announced a successful operation in delivering insulin to Kirkuk. Paratus found the donor, received and hosted the donation, and delivered the donations free of charge. [3] The donations were for the medical needs of Iraqi people.
