Paranoid Park (novel)

Paranoid Park (2006) is a young adult novel by Blake Nelson. Paranoid Park is the story of a 16-year-old skateboarder who tries to fit in with the skater crowd and accidentally kills a security guard while trying to board a train. The author has said that the book is a kind of retelling of Crime and Punishment in a young adult fiction setting.[1] The novel takes place in Portland, Oregon, United States.
