Paradise Hotel 2 is the second season of the US reality TV-show Paradise Hotel on MyNetworkTV and Fox Reality Channel. The show began airing on February 4, 2008. The second season of the show aired four years after season one aired on sister network Fox. Amanda Byram returned as host and Mark Thompson returned as the announcer.

[edit] Broadcasts

New episodes will air on MyNetworkTV Monday nights at 9/8c with encore episodes airing Saturday nights at 9/8c. Fox Reality Channel will air more explicit, but still censored, same night TV-MA versions of new episodes at 1:00 a.m. (ET) / 10:00 p.m. (PT) with encores throughout the week.^[1] Episodes can also be seen on Hulu.

Paradise Hotel 2 began with eleven guests moving into the hotel. Six were women and five were men. There is currently total of six houseguests remaining in the competition for the ultimate prize. The six are Krista, Mike, Ryan, Stephanie, Tidisha, and Zach. As of episode 14, the final houseguests were put into final roommate pairs of Krista & Mike, Tidisha & Ryan, and Stephanie & Zach. Episode 15 the power couple, Tidisha & Ryan chose Krista & Mike, to leave. Leaving Tidisha & Ryan and & Stephanie & Zach in the final two. The last seven guests voted off were tasked with choosing the winning couple. Stephanie and Zach were chosen. But Tidisha and Ryan were given the responsibility of choosing only one member of the winning couple to claim the "ultimate prize". Zach, the oldest participant, was chosen and was presented with a US$200,000 prize - with a twist. He was allowed to share his prize with up to two other contestants. He chose to share $20,000 with Tidisha and $90,000 with Stephanie, keeping the remaining $90,000 for himself.

Mike (26 years old) is a server at the Old Town Tortilla Factory in Scottsdale, AZ. His official profile states he is "funny, charming and enjoys being the center of attention." Mike is a college graduate from ASU and has a BA from the #1 broadcasting school in the nation, The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Mike enjoys good company, people who are energetic and have a great personality.^[10]

Myrna (22 years old) is the new female in paradise, she came in episode 10, knocking Tanya out. She is a fashion designer from Los Angeles, CA. Her official profile states she is "spoiled, cunning, high maintenance."^[11]

Nathan "Nate" Clutter (25 years old) worked at a call center in Phoenix, AZ. His official profile states he is "articulate, smart, and courteous".^[12] Nathan committed suicide on October 12, 2007 shortly after production wrapped on Paradise Hotel 2. He killed himself by jumping off of an Alltel cellular telephone tower, though his death was covered by the show's networks by saying he was killed in a climbing accident in Amarillo, TX. ^[13] Nathan's family and the producers decided to keep Nathan's scenes in the full run of the episodes.^[14]

Zach Stewart (28 years old) is the new male in paradise, and was a participant in Paradise Hotel 1. He is a personal trainer. His official profile states he is "intelligent, attentive, impassive." He ended up winning the contest and the grand prize was 200,000 dollars, of which he gave 20,000 to Tidisha and split the other 180,000 with roommate and girlfriend Stephanie.^[20]
