Formerly known as Paradigm Simulations, Paradigm started off as a flight model and simulation company based in Dallas. The company worked with Nintendo to produce Pilotwings 64, one of the first three games available for N64 in Japan and the U.S. and later partnered with EA for Beetle Adventure Racing (released as HSV Adventure Racing in Australia). On June 29, 2000, Paradigm was acquired by Atari in August 2000 and in May 2006 was sold to THQ as Atari began to divest of its internal development studios in an effort to financially restructure.
