Coordinates: 23°38′N 86°51′E / 23.63, 86.85 Par Beliya (Bengali: পার বেলিয়া) is a census town under Neturia police station [1]in Puruliya district in the Indian state of West Bengal.

The area forms the lowest step of the Chota Nagpur Plateau. The general scenario is undulating land with scattered hills.[2]It is located south of Damodar River.

As of 2001 India census[3], Par Beliya had a population of 6036. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Par Beliya has an average literacy rate of 59%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 69%, and female literacy is 48%. In Par Beliya, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.

It is an important coal mining area of Eastern Coalfields Ltd., a subsidiary of Coal India Limited. [4] This area of Purlia district is linked with Dishergarh in Asansol subdivision with a bridge across the Damodar River. [1]
