[edit] The New Lena Zavaroni

Paulo is the Lena Zavaroni of the 21st Century. Born of a Scottish-Italian chip shop owning family, a tiny thing with a huge voice thrown up by a talent competition. Let's hope he doesn't share poor Lena's fate.

[edit] Update

Some of the page needs to be updated. There are some references in his music career, saying 'this year', still referring to 2006 (Austin City Limits, etc.) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 75.53.57.174 (talk) 20:21, 21 January 2007 (UTC).

[edit] Italian prominance?

In the very second sentence of the article: "His father is of Italian descent, from Barga, Tuscany and his mother is Scottish, although his father's family have been in Scotland for four generations." Seems to be pushing the Italian connection a bit to have it in the first paragraph when he's fourth generation. Wouldn't it be better suited later in the article? 172.209.111.118 05:39, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

I agree. There is very little Italian in him. It shouldn't really be in the introduction. 77.102.8.117 08:42, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
It does do a good job of explaining his name, though. 24.84.56.96 (talk) 09:44, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

The Scottish-Italian community in Scotland (particularly west-coast) is pretty strong, almost like American-Italian. You wouldn't tell an American-Italian he was American, would you?! -Tpacw (talk) 22:32, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
