Talk:Paoli, Pennsylvania
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article is basically 100% wrong on the jurisdictions which govern Paoli. From Paoli Business Association: "It (Paoli) is part of three townships: Tredyffrin, Easttown, and Willistown. Each township sets its own tax rate, administers planning and zoning boards, and has its own police force. Three volunteer fire companies, with modern equipment and ambulance service, serve the area." I will edit when I have time.
[edit] Reference to Wilson Farm
The Philadelphia Folk Festival insists that Wilson Farm is in Paoli in all its histories: I suspect that is the source of the erroneous reference to "Wilson Farm in Paoli" which I removed. It's not in Paoli--it's too far north and east to be in Paoli.
Here is a map of the Farm, which is now a Tredyffrin Township park. At the bottom of that page is a link to a Mapquest map for directions to the park, including the address: 600 Lee Road, Wayne, PA.
I had heard that there used to be a folk festival held on what is now a 4 house development, Hidden Way, which is off Swedesford Road. (tabeeb) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.58.204.226 (talk) 21:00, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] POV?
Did the mayor's wife write this? While I'm sure Paoli is a lovely town, I'm actually looking at real estate in the area, I don't think a discussion of "awe inspiring" trains is really appropriate for an encyclopedia entry. HandsomeSam57 19:17, 5 April 2007 (UTC)
