Paolo Vanoli (born August 12, 1972 in Varese) is a former professional footballer, who played as a left back.
Vanoli played, amongst other clubs, for Parma (winning the UEFA Cup in 1998-99 and scoring in the final) and Fiorentina, having also two abroad spells: Glasgow Rangers in 2003-04 and lowly Akratitos FC in Greece (2005-06).
In 2006-07, he played for Castelnuovo Sandrà, a regional Eccellenza (sixth division) club from the town of Castelnuovo del Garda, in Veneto.[1]
Vanoli was also an Italian international, having played twice for his country and scoring once.
Vanoli moved to Glasgow Rangers in a poor season for them, and a few unstable performances meant that the fans soon turned on him and he left the club as swiftly as he had entered.
