[edit] Your first barn star
The Original Barnstar | ||
For using my talk page as a method of sorting out a dispute rather than resorting to vandalism. This barnstar also goes towards all the fine contributions you've made to Wikipedia in the past. Keep up the good work! Lradrama 17:52, 3 May 2007 (UTC) |
Howdy. =)
I don't know how to make my userpage look nice. I'm not too concerned about it. I have copied my profile from Facebook and pasted it here. It follows below, with the addition of a "Favorite Video Games section."

- Favorite Quotes: He was never truly meant to be a hero, but rather to be a guy at his best, equipped with a multitude of skills. He has tried successfully almost every job in the world: whether it was juggling, cooking, treasure-searching, defending a fort from Native Americans, parachuting, being a fireman or a judge, Mr. Game & Watch got his job done. --Wikipedia article on Mr. Game & Watch; he's a hero in my book
- It has been written, 'an endless significance lies in Work;' a man perfects himself by working. Foul jungles are cleared away, fair seedfields rise instead, and stately cities; and withal the man himself first ceases to be a jungle and foul unwholesome desert thereby. Consider how, even in the meanest sorts of Labour, the whole soul of a man is composed into a kind of real harmony, the instant he sets himself to work! Doubt, Desire, Sorrow, Remorse, Indignation, Despair itself, all these like helldogs lie beleaguering the soul of the poor dayworker, as of every man: but he bends himself with free valour against his task, and all these are stilled, all these shrink murmuring far off into their caves. The man is now a man. The blessed glow of Labour in him, is it not as purifying fire, wherein all poison is burnt up, and of sour smoke itself there is made bright blessed flame! --Thomas Carlyle
- Blessed is he who has found his work; let him ask no other blessedness. He has a work, a life-purpose; he has found it, and will follow it! --Thomas Carlyle
- The Romans liked solving every problem that came up. Take the elephants they encountered with the Carthaginian army and some Eastern armies for example. The Romans figured out that elephants don't like two things: they don't like fire and they don't like small animals. But the Romans took it a step further. They figured that the only things an elephant doesn't like more than small animals and fire, are small animals ON fire. And then they figured out that the longest-range flaming animal is a pig, and so they launched greased up, flaming pigs into the Carthaginian ranks and watched the Carthaginian elephants turn right around and stampede back through the Carthaginians. --Dr. Joseph W. Caddell
- About Me: Am I really the best person to describe me? I don't have a truly objective perspective.
- People have told me that I'm smart and, at times, funny. I'm inclined to believe them.
- I am, according to Myers-Briggs Type Indicators, an ISTJ. I'm very much an introvert; I have a good memory for significant (and insignificant) facts. Despite being a "thinker," I'm rather sympathetic and probably a bit too trusting. Most of the time, I am dependable, responsible and punctual. I don't often get excited.
I have PBWiki that I don't use. http://cdcarroll.pbwiki.com
