Deepspace – ambient music project

Description An ambient music project from Brisbane, Australia created by musician Mirko Ruckels. The music is largely beatless, consisting of ambient synths and treated traditional instruments. Images of space, isolated and barren environments are conjured by the pieces. A preoccupation with space and deserts is evident.

influences are: Steve Roach, Vidna Obmana, Stars of the Lid, Brian Eno and also noir sci-fi influences such as pc game System Shock and B movies such as Event Horizon.
