Talk:Panacea (disambiguation)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I've lived in the Florida panhandle for 30 years from Pensacola to Tallahassee and have never heard the Big Bend region--from Appalachicola east and south to Cedar Key-ish--called the "armpit" except derisively or humorously. While it is an apt description and conveys all of its summer-time swampy glory, Lest we change all of the Central- and South-Florida cities' entries to reflect the pudundic resemblances of the peninsula, let's refrain from metaphoric names for regions that have accepted semi-offical ones. I have changed the wording on this entry to minimize the insult to the Eastern Panhandle and to include "gulf coast." If "Big Bend" is unacceptible for someone, please use "Eastern Panhandle," not "armpit"; it's just bad wiki-ing.--128.186.13.112 17:38, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
I have changed the wording to its original entry. Please save your lecture for someone who cares. Good Day.
