Coordinates: Panskura (Bengali: পাঁসকুড়া) is a town and a Police station in Purba Medinipur in the Indian state of West Bengal.

Panskura is located at [1]. It has an average elevation of 7 metres (26 feet). Its a situated on the NH6 on the way from Kolkata to Kharagpur.
The livelihood of the common people is dependent on agriculture. Many varieties of flowers / green vegetable are grown and are supplied to kolkatta from here.
Panskura B. B. High School is the oldest and the reputed school of the area. Panskura Banamali College is the sole institution of higher education. Other notable school is Dhuliapur Pallishree Bani Mandir.
TRANSPORT : Connecterd by train and road (NH6)to Kolkata which is the nearest big city. Local trains(South Eastern Line) are frequent. Kharagpur is also well connected to Panskura by road NH6. Local buses and private taxis ply to more interior villages from there.
MUNICIPALITY: Panskura has now recently become a municipality( Upgraded from Panchayat). Market: Local vegetable wholesale market is the main trade of this town.
