[edit] History
Panmure station was upgraded at the end of 2006 as part of the Auckland Regional Transport Authority's (ARTA) upgrade of train stations across the Auckland rail network.
As part of the upgrade, which was a collaboration between ARTA, Auckland City Council and the Auckland Regional Transport Network Limited (ARTNL) the station was moved to its current position east of Panmure Town Centre to increase the amount of passengers using the station. The previous location, south of the present location, was too far away from the Panmure Town Centre. The new location also incorporates a new bus-rail interchange which allows more choices for public transport users.
