Panmure Gordon

Panmure Gordon & Co. (LSE: PMR) is a corporate and institutional stockbroker. Founded in 1876 by Harry Panmure Gordon, the company is now an international firm with offices in London, San Francisco, New York, Boston, Chicago, Minneapolis, Liverpool and Chennai. Corporate headquarters are in Moorgate, London. The company merged with Durlacher, the technology investment bank that had been founded by David Tabizel & Geoffrey Chamberlain and is listed on London's AIM market. The current chairman is Charles Stonehill, the former head of investment banking for CSFB.
The company has around 90 UK listed corporate clients, over 800 institutional clients, provides research on over 500 companies, makes markets in over 800 stocks and offers broad coverage from FTSE 100 to AIM and US growth stocks. It was ranked as the most active NOMAD and second most active broker by funds raised on the Alternative Investment Market in the first six months of 2007.
In March 2007 Panmure Gordon acquired ThinkEquity Partners LLC, a US-based investment bank.
