Pangili is a tiny and remote village in Rapur Taluk of Nellore District of Andhra Pradesh in India.

Originally the name of this village was known as "Turravari palem". In 18th Century the Britishers had named it as "Pangili", since they could not pronounce the name "Turravari palem" easily. The village is located at 3 mile distance from Rapur on west and Right side to the State high way leads to Cuddapah District passing through Rapur Kanumalu. The village is at the foot of Veligonda. The village is surrounded by Hills on three directions. On the West: Veligonda, East: Kakulakonda , on which the Tomb of Mahammadan saint Masum Sahib is exists. North: Dadikonda, South: Yeti Vagu which flows from Veligonda to Bay of Bengal in rainy season only.
Pangili is a Panchayat having 3 villages namely, Pangili Diguva, Madduru palli and Kalujugunta, in its jurisdiction.

The people live mostly on Coolie and Agriculture. In Agriculture they produce Paddy, Ragi, sajja, Korra, Aarika, horsegrams and ground nut etc.,and also they gather Hill products such as Honery, Firewood, Roots and fruits of different kinds. The water source for Agriculture is from Tanks, Wells and Bore wells. There is no water canals passing through this Village.

The village has Upper Primary School up to the 7th Standard.

There is no Primary Health Unit in the Village. The People has to go to Rapur or Nellore for medical aid.

The People are very innocent and very poor economically, but all the communities will have cordial relation ship irrespective of Caste ,Creed or Community.

APSRTC Bus services are available in addition to Auto Rikshaws.
