Pandion is an XMPP/Jabber client, developed by Dries Staelens and Sebastiaan Deckers. Although the maintainers claim that it is still actively developed, there hasn't been a release, update, or public announcement since January 2006.
Pandion is an HTA application, which means that it uses HTML and JavaScript to make up its interface and backend. This makes Pandion partly open source, except for the application loader.
As of spring 2008, Pandion must be considered abandonware. There hasn't been any release in two years, and the developers are not present in the community for the same time. Most new topics in the web forum are spam.[1]

[edit] Rhymbox dispute
RhymBox, LLC have previously claimed to own the rights to Rhymbox and Pandion software and that http://www.pandion.be/ is operating illegally. The developers of Pandion have posted a letter to the community refuting the claims.[1]
RhymBox, LLC responds to "open letter to the community" in this forum. [2]
