Pandanadu (Pandavar Nadu) falls in Chengannur Tehsil in Alappuzha Zilla, in Kerala, India. Pancha Pandava Temples Are situvated Around this place ,(Trichittattu,Tripuliyoor,Tiruaranmula,Thruvanvandoor….Famous Pandavan Para abt 3 km east of Pandanadu Pandanadu is divided in to 2 (pandanad North & Pandanad) by holy river Pampa.Pandanad Split in to smaller areas like 1.Muthavazhy 2.Vanmazhy 3.Keezhuvanmazhy 4.Pandanad West 5.Pandanad Nort 6.Pryar 7.Premattakara
It is a beautiful place where the famous Holy River Pamapa stream flows .The main faiths of Mattakkara are Hinduisam and Christanity.People speak Malayalam in their own slang. More than 99 % of them are literate. Most of the people are farmers. The place can be accessible by road . It is about 4 KM from Chengannur and 4 KM from Mannar.
The main cultivation is Paddy & Coconut.You can find pepper,,banana,,tapioca and coconut trees like any other place of Kerala inPandanad.TherearemanyHindutemplesinPandanadu. Pandanadu have 3 Palliyodams (Snake Boats) owned by different "Karas" (locality) viz Keezhuvanmazhy, Vanmazhy and Muthavazhy. There are so many schools like Swami Vivekanda High School,M.A.M School,Govt JBS, Keezhuvanmazhy&Pryar .
All places consist of wet evergreen plants. Hard working farmers of this place plays an important role to make this happen. You can’t even see an inch of land without plants. The main vegetation occurs due to paddy which covers 50% of the area. Coconut tree, and other plants can be found here.
