Panchganga

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Panchaganga flows through the borders of Kolhapur. It starts from Prayag Sangam (Chikhlee, Taluka - Karveer, Dist - Kolhapur). It does not have its origin. Five rivers forms Panchganga. Panch means Five. It's an ancient river.

Since last decade it's pollution level is increasing fast[1] despite efforts by MPCB (Maharashtra Pollution Control Board)[2].
