Presidential and parlimentary elections will be held in Panama on May 3, 2009.[1] Presidential candidates include the incumbent Housing Minister Balbina Herrera and Panama City mayor Juan Carlos Navarro, both of the Democratic Revolutionary Party, and Ricardo Martinelli of the opposition Democratic Change.[2]
