Pan Celtic Festival

The Féile Pan Cheilteach or Pan Celtic Festival was first held in 1971 in Killarney, Ireland. It has been held annually in the week following Easter since.
It's aim is to promote the modern Celtic languages and cultures and features artists from all six Celtic nations, Brittany, Cornwall, Wales, Ireland, Scotland and the Isle of Man.
The establishment of the Féile has led to various inter-celtic partnerships such as Comh Nasg na nGael and has strong ties to other Celtic cultural events such as the Kan ar Bobal, An tOireachtas, Lowender Peran, Yn Chruinnaght and Am Mòd Nàiseanta Rìoghail.

The 2008 Féile was held in Donegal from the 25-30 March 2008 and featured various events such as the Irish Céilí, the Comórtas Amhránaíochta Tradisiúnta (Traditional Singing Competition), themed national nights, street performances, parades and various competitions such as the Camógaíochta, the Comórtas na gCór (Choral Competition), the Comórtas Idirnáisiúnta Cruite (International Harp Competition), the Comórtas na bPíob (Piping Competition), the Comórtas Rince Idirnáisiúnta (Inter-Celtic Dancing Competition) and the Comórtas Fidil (Inter-Celtic Fiddle Competition).
