I'm putting this in for copyright review. The creation of this image was from image request on pan and scan entry. Thanks. --Knulclunk 17:49, 26 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] image use

Perhaps a "fair use" licensing should be added. I propose that its use be for only pan and scan as it an example of this technique, but removed from the Seven Brides page, it is not needed there.

Fair use includes:

Fair use rationale in Pan and Scan:

  1. This is a representation of pan and scan technique on a film notable for its wide screen presentation.
  2. This subject of this example has traditionally been cropped to fit 3x4 NTSC ratio in the past
  3. This subject of this example specifically shows the tracking of a main subject interacting with others as is required in a complex pan and scan technique.
  4. Use of an actual and notable film more accurately illustrates the pan and scan process than an abstract schematic.
  5. Inclusion is for information, education and analysis only.
  6. The image is a low resolution copy of the original work of such low quality and duration that it would be unlikely to impact sales of the work.

This is the start of a rationale --Knulclunk (talk) 16:25, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
