Fair Use rationale text:This image, Pandit Kanshi Ram.jpg, is being linked here; though the picture may be subject to copyright I (rueben lys) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because it is a photographic image of the subject Kanshi Ram, who has been long deceased, and no freely avalilable image exist. Moreover, the image was taken prior to 1923 since the subject was executed in India in 1915. Therefore, by US copyright law, British and Indian copyright law, the original image, if different from this modified image, is not ellgible for copyright. Moreover, there is no loss of revenue. Therefore this image is in fair use.
