A very odd-looking insect near Santa Fé, Panamá, 4 May 2004.
The insect waved its colourful legs around in a sort of aerobics fahion, I assume to attract members of the opposite sex. Alas for the insect, it attracted me in stead :) .
Does anyone know what insect this is? Over at the science reference desk it was suggested that it is a heteroptera.
