Talk:Pamela Hansford Johnson
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(1) "The contents of this web page at 28 January 2006 have been approved by the family of Pamela Hansford Johnson."
A very unusual statement. Is this serious or a joke?
(2) Why was the link to the Hebrew Wikipedia removed? <KF> 00:19, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

(1) This is serious. (2) Please restore it with a note in English saying what it is.
- Regardless of whether it was meant seriously or not, it's not going in the article. Proteus (Talk) 17:16, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
1) This statement was provided to satisfy the Wiki requirement to give a source for the information published in Wiki. The page was written and posted by members of the family of Pamela Hansford Johnson. Sources used were published records (encyclopedias, biographies, publishers' lists) and family archives. There are many errors and lacunae in the former. For example, one biography of Dylan Thomas [Dylan Thomas A New Life, by Andrew Lycett, Overlook Press, 2004, ISBN 1-58-567-541-5] claims that PHJ was brought up in the Gold Coast. In fact, she never visited Africa. Lycett also thinks that her surname was Hansford-Johnson. The Wiki entry of 28 January is, the family believes, the only complete and accurate synopsis of PHJ's life and work that is currently available. An authorised biography of PHJ is being written.
Be this as it may. The history record of this entry will show that the version of 28 Jan 2006 was approved by the family of Pamela Hansford Johnson.
