Pamplona is a 3rd class municipality in the province of Negros Oriental, Philippines. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 32,790 people in 6,617 households.

Pamplona is 37.9 kilometers north of Dumaguete City. It is Accessible to all types of vehicle being connected by good roads from the capital city of Oriental Negros.It has a total land are of 21,670 hectares politically subsivided in to 17 barangays located 80 % of land is hilly and mountainous with an elevation ranging from 30-700 meters above sea level.

The town is blessed with Palaypay Falls located at Barangay Abante, 12 kilometers away from Poblacion, Pamplona. It has clear, refreshing, cool, sulfuric water which will make everyone long to come back and enjoy more.
