Pamela (Pam) Corkery (1956 - ) is a journalist and former New Zealand politician. A well known journalist in New Zealand, she first entered politics by standing as an independent candidate for the Auckland mayoralty in 1995. She then became a high profile candidate for the Alliance party and was elected to Parliament as a list MP in the 1996 elections. In 1999, however, she decided to leave politics, having served only one term. Her book Pam's Political Confessions was published in 1999.On page 9 she writes: "Politicians are, by and large, far more self-deluding,devious,bloated,insecure,egocentric wankers than I had feared."
She returned to her previous work as a journalist and talk-back host.
