Paloma Rodríguez Carrington started studying Anthropology at the University of Amsterdam in 2002. She specialized in Anthropology of Europe, The Body and Culture, Anthropology of the Senses, Popular Culture and Visual Anthropology, and wrote her BA thesis on in- and exclusion and the doorpolicy of a famous nightclub in Amsterdam. Recently she has finished her MA research on Quinceañeras (the fifteenth birthday of latina girls) which she conducted from May-September 2007 in Fresno, California.
Currently Paloma is writing her MA thesis about this research and keeps a blog on her life as an anthropologist:
