Pythagorean Theorem
general form    kat_1^2 + kat_2^2 = hyp^2
special case (unit circle)    \,\! \sin^2(x) + \cos^2(x) = 1

\pi \approx 3 (holds for small values of π and large values of 3)

Another (more complex) LaTEX code example: \pi \approx (\ln 6)^{(\ln 5)^{(\ln 4)^{(\ln 3)^{\ln 2}}}}

\pi \approx (\ln 6)^{(\ln 5)^{(\ln 4)^{(\ln 3)^{\ln 2}}}}

a^{x+y} = a^x \cdot a^y = a^y \cdot a^x = a^{y+x} (Law of Commutation)

\,\! \ln(e^x) = x\cdot \ln(e^1) = x\cdot \ln(e) = x\cdot 1 = x
