[edit] Interview

Krungthep Thurakit publised an interview with Pallop from a few years back which was saved at Thaitopic.com. The interview was in Thai, and thus shouldn't be used in this article without an independent reliable translation. But the interview might be useful for researchers. Key points:

  • His close friendship to his Class 7 classmates, especially Chamlong Srimuang and Manoonkrit
  • He calls the 1976 coup (against Seni) easy. The 10 October 1977 coup (with Chamlong and Manoon) required force. The 1981 April Hawaii coup was unsuccessful but not violent because he gave up.
  • He recounts how the saddest event of his career was firing heavy artillery against women and children communists at Phoo Hin Rong Kla. Patiwat 19:23, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
