[edit] Speedy Deletion?
The speedy deletion issue (resulting from a notability question) is a little strange here. The article itself indicates the subject was significantly connected to subjects of several other articles here, which by itself should be enough. Granted more can be added if that's the concern. However it appears the issue ceased not because of change in the article's content, but by someone else's awareness of the subject. This whole thing seems a bit too subjective.x 18:03, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Notability
I'm removing the tag on notability until some specific explanation is provided. There should have been something posted in discussion about it. (also, see above Talk entry regarding a similiar concern) x 18:55, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry, you're right- I should have explained myself. Now that I've looked more into it, she does satisfy WP:BAND for her co-writing with Matthew Sweet.johnpseudo 20:22, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
Just to help going forward, in case this comes up a third time, she also fits these categories of WP:BAND...
-
- Has had a charted hit on any national music chart, in at least one large or medium-sized country. (Slow Children had several songs do well on the charts)
-
- Has released two or more albums on a major label or one of the more important indie labels.(Slow Children released 2 albums with RCA Records) x 21:25, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- The point mainly being that it's not one particular thing that makes her notable enough for an article, but that she's had involvement in a lot of other notable work, which the article explains pretty clearly.
- But I'm also going to include this item from WP:BAND as well (for reference):
-
- Failing to satisfy the notability guidelines is not a criterion for speedy deletion.
