Palo Duro High School is a school located in Amarillo, Texas, United States and is in Amarillo Independent School District. PDHS has nine feeder elementary schools, Eastridge Elementary Emerson Elementary, Forest Hill Elementary, Hamlet Elementary, Lee Elementary, Mesa Verde Elementary, Pleasant Valley Elementary, Rogers Elementary and Whittier Elementary. Along with two middle schools, Horace Mann Middle School and Travis Middle School.

PDHS was founded in 1955 and was open for one day during that year. The school officially opened in 1956. PDHS was originally built to accommodate the students of the Amarillo Air Force Base. PDHS was the second high school built in Amarillo.
