The Palms Shopping Mall is located on a 40,000m² (10 acre) plot of land and has 20,000m² (5 acre) of lettable retail space. The mall is located in Lekki Peninsula, in Lagos, Nigeria. The mall was built on swampland that was reclaimed by the government recently and construction was commissioned by the Oba of Lagos and President Obasanjo. The mall, which opened in early 2006, has 69 stores and a modern six screen cinema, there is convenient parking for about a 1000 cars
The Palms Shopping Mall is the largest and first of its kind in Nigeria. The mall is owned by Persianas Properties Limited, a joint venture between ACTIS UK, a famous UK based global leading emerging market private equity investor and Tayo Amusan, a Nigerian property developer.

The Anchor Tenants at the mall are South African Giants Game, Nu Metro and Shoprite . Game a discount retail chain occupies the largest space at about 5495 square metres to be the center of gravitation within the mall. There are 6 cinemas held under the management of Nu Metro and Shoprite, which labels itself as African’s largest grocery store, are the other expansive marts, the anchor shops within the mega mall. The shops, which range in size between 28-590 square metres (300-6,400 square feet)come in different widespread categories of diverse merchandise.
