Palm Springs High School is a public high school for grades 9-12. It is located in Palm Springs, California and in the Palm Springs Unified School District.

Palm Springs High School was built in 1938. The effort was led by city pioneer Nellie Coffman.[1]

Palm Springs High School is in the Desert Valley League which includes Cathedral City High School, Coachella Valley High School, Indio High School, La Quinta High School, Palm Desert High School and Palm Springs High School. [1] Presently, John Carlos, the former bronze medalist in the 1968 Olympics, is working as the Track & Field Coach, and an In-school Suspension Supervisor for Palm Springs High School in Palm Springs, California.[2]

Palm Springs High School is well known in Southern-California, and is also emerging as an international institution, for its Marching, Jazz, and Symphonic Bands, which play many local performances each year. The band has also performed internationally in countries such as Italy, England, France, Denmark, Sweden, Australia, New Zealand, and most recently the Beijing Olympic Music. The band is also known for the Palm Springs Swings Jazz Band, under the regular employment of many local businesses for entertainment at conventions and grand openings and the like.http://www.psband.org/]
