Pallikonda is a panchayat town in Vellore district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

As of 2001 India census[1], Pallikonda had a population of 20,678. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Pallikonda has an average literacy rate of 73%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 80%, and female literacy is 66%. In Pallikonda, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.
The place has a popular residential school named "Shiksha Kendra" which is one of the Top schools in vellore district.
Pallikonda has also very popular historical school known as "Little Flower Convent" run by Salesian Sisters. It serves to the poor and needy children from nearby villages giving free education from standard 1 to 5.
The town is well connected by road as it lies on the NH 46 of Bangalore-Chennai section which is part of the Golden Quadrilateral Highway Project. A State Highway connects to Gudiyattam town[10 KM]. The nearest railway station is Gudiyattam[6 KM] on Chennai-Bangalore and Chennai-Salem section of Southern Railway.
The town falls under Anaicut Assembly Constituency and Vellore Lok Sabha seat in Tamil Nadu

Pallikonda also houses Sri Uthara Ranganathar Temple which is one of the ancient temples of North Arcot District. This temple is said to have built during 5th Century by Vijayanagara kings.
