Pallickal

Pallickal is a village near the town of Kottarakara in the Indian state of Kerala. The majority of the people here are farmers and descendants of the warrior class of Nairs in religion. A village with paddy cultivation, famous for its village outlook, Pallickal devi temple "CHOTHI TIRUNAL" Maholsavam, famous Maramadi Maholsavam, Kadakkulathu Mahadevar temple "SIVARATRI" Maholsavam, Udayan Kavu Sivakshetram, and the goodhearted people. Most of the people are active with RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh)and one of the oldest "Sakha" (near about 60 years) smoothly going on the village. The village has a primary school (NSS (Nair Service Socity) Karayogam primary school), Welfare LP School in Vellaramkuunu, Mylom Panchayathu Krishi Bhavan, a milk marketing Co-operative society,nethaji vayanasala (one of the oldest librery and reading room in Kerala),icdp subcenter and a Main Post Office.
