Palenque Norte is a Burning Man theme camp inspired by the Palenque Entheobotany Seminars. The camp provides space for lectures on entheobotany and entheogenic compounds. Past lecturers include pioneering psychopharmacologists Sasha and Ann Shulgin; psychopharmacologist Michael Ott; writer and entheogen researcher Terence McKenna; psychoactive plant expert Christian Raetsch; Bob Montgomery, founder of the Botanical Preservation Corps; iboga expert Giorgio Samorini; chemist Michael Bock; and mycologist Paul Stamens. The lecture space is designed to mimic the atmosphere of the pool at Hotel Chan Kah Ruinas, where the original Palenque talks were given.[1] [2] [3]
