The 205 room, five-story main hotel opened in 2000.[citation needed] The complex has seventy-two neighbouring condominiums, three restaurants and a private marina.[1] The mailing address is 94 Seaworld Drive Main Beach QLD 4217.

[edit] In the media

The hotel became a focal point of world media attention on 4 January 2006, when long serving ruler of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid al Maktoum died of a heart attack while staying at the hotel.[citation needed]

The hotel is used during I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! as the "resting zone" for the celebrities that have already come out of the jungle during the show.[citation needed]
