Palaia is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Pisa in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 45 km southwest of Florence and about 30 km southeast of Pisa. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 4,552 and an area of 73.5 km².[1]
The municipality of Palaia contains the frazione (subdivision) Forcoli.
Palaia borders the following municipalities: Capannoli, Montaione, Montopoli in Val d'Arno, Peccioli, Pontedera, San Miniato.
