Palagonia (Latin:Palica) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Catania in the Italian region Sicily, located about 150 km southeast of Palermo and about 35 km southwest of Catania. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 16,402 and an area of 57.7 km².[1]
Palagonia borders the following municipalities: Lentini, Militello in Val di Catania, Mineo, Ramacca.
