PSA was established in 1947 by various college and university students across Pakistan, however it wasn't until the 1980s did the PSA begin to develop and grow. Due to the large number of students the PSA began to represent the student body of Pakistan. Today the organisation works for the betterment of students across Pakistan.

[edit] 2007 Anti-Government Protests

Many anti-Government protests were formed by smaller associations in various colleges and universities across Pakistan.

[edit] International

The Pakistan Students Associations (PSAs) of 53 universities in 20 countries including Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh have joined together to form PSAI. Each PSA organizes social, cultural, recreational and educational activities on its own campus to promote Pakistani culture, unity and national interests.
